Monday 28 January 2013
January 20-26
Went to 10:30 Mass and
the boys were gone when we got home so we went to Burger Hut for lunch. Then we
got in touch with Gillian and decided to drive to Scarborough to take her purse
back to her. (She had left it at the Curling Club) It was very windy but only
went through one small snow squall on the 115. Had a great visit and got to see
where she lives. We cam home with a quick stop at Dollarama in Peterborough.
Home by 5:30

Slept in till 11 am.
It is very cold out. Had coffee in the afternoon.

Went to work and had
soup and coffee afterwards.

Carole T drove me to
work and at 11 I went to the meeting room to hear Cathy P's talk on
Osteoporosis. I also got to click the button for the power point! It was very informative.

Found some wonderful
journal pages and spent a lot of time retyping them to make them Canadian! Had
coffee in the afternoon.

Went to work and then
to lunch. Worked on the journal pages. Picture of our hands.

Went to Mass at 5:00
pm and then after supper we went to Tom & Joyce's to play Rummoli. All 8 of
us were there and Nancy was the big winner. John and I broke even.

A lazy morning and
then we went to the curling club around 1 pm. Joan's family, Matthew's family,
Brian & Dorothy, Cathy, Sean's family plus Gillian's boyfriend Kevin. Some
threw a few practice rocks and there was a card game on the go. Lots of food
and then we sat in a large circle (23 of us) and opened "stockings".
Joan also had gifts for us and Aiden & River had lots of gifts too. After
gifts they had 2 rinks of curlers playing while us old folks got caught up on the
family news. Then another card game and we cleaned up. Everyone left but CW and
boys and John and I as Troy & Cathy and family dropped in for a short
visit. We were home around 10 pm. A wonderful day!

Breakfast at Burger
Hut. Quick trip to Havelock to get treats and a few extra things for the
stockings.

Finally wrapped all
the gifts and got the dining room back to normal.

Went to work and had
coffee with Nancy afterwards. Took cheese and crackers to the Historical
Society Meeting and paid dues. (last year and this year). Terry Stephens talked
about the history of Blairton once a busy mining town.

Went to work.
Thursday January 17,
2013
Christopher's 42nd
birthday. Had a headache but got rid of it with Advil Sinus pills, Sean called
re Saturday plans. Got 3 things crossed off the to do list! Put my summer
clothes away, sorted unwanted Christmas stuff and made Joyce's necklace. Had
Chinese for supper and John went to Lion's meeting.

Went to work. Denis
(Broughton's) met us at Burger Hut for lunch. Did some quick tidying for CW and
the boys. They arrived around 7 pm and we had a nice evening together.
